Submersible Level Transmitter Installation and Precautions

Submersible level transmitters are based on the principle that the static pressure of the measured liquid is proportional to its height. They utilize the piezoresistive silicon or ceramic sensing elements to convert static pressure into an electrical signal. After temperature compensation and linear correction, the signal is converted into a 4-20mA DC standard current signal output. The sensor of the submersible level transmitter can be directly immersed in the liquid, while the transmitter portion can be fixed with flanges or brackets, making installation and use very convenient. Submersible level transmitters are widely used in the measurement and control of water and liquid levels in petroleum, chemical, power plants, urban water supply and drainage, and hydrological exploration fields.

I. Installation Precautions:

1. For deep well transmitters, use a special clamping sleeve to secure the cable to prevent damage from compression. Install the sensor portion vertically to avoid burying or clogging the transmitter probe with mud or other impurities.

2. Fill the cable outlet with a special sealing gasket and sealant to prevent air and water leakage.

3. The entire signal cable should be led inside the distribution cabinet to prevent rainwater from seeping into the cable at the connection points and causing damage.

4. When the transmitter is used alone for downhole measurements and the cable length exceeds 100 meters, an additional load-bearing steel wire rope should be added and lowered into the well along with the signal cable to protect it from excessive stress and potential damage.

II. Precautions:

1. Confirm that the power supply output voltage is correct; ensure the positive and negative terminals of the power supply correspond to the positive and negative terminals of the product; the maximum liquid level should be within the product's measuring range.

2. The pressure sensor of the probe is a precision component. Please do not disassemble it t and not touch the diaphragm to avoid damage.

3. Avoid immersing the liquid level transmitter cable connector (where the warning label is located) in water, as this may cause water ingress into the vent line and damage the transmitter.

4. Avoid scratching the liquid level transmitter cable with knives or other sharp metal objects, as this may cause damage to the transmitter.
