Measurement Errors of Pressure Sensors

Jun 16, 2025

As you know, when there is measurement, there will be errors.

For specific applications, even if there are errors, in a sense, they are relative. As long as the error is within the allowable range, it can be accepted, and end users of sensors generally follow the principle of "applicable, preferred" to select pressure, level, and temperature sensors in field applications.

Usually, the parameters of pressure transmitter that customers care about are as following:

· Pressure measurement range: for example, 0-10 kPa

· Pressure type: differential pressure, gauge pressure, sealed gauge pressure, absolute pressure

· Pressure measurement error: ±kPa

· Measurement resolution: kPa/bit

· Working voltage/current

· Storage and working temperature range

· Measurement medium

· Pressure measurement response characteristics, repeatability, long-term stability
