Tips for Mounting Pressure Transmitter Tubing?

Mar 24, 2025

For gas pressure transmitters, the transmitter is mounted above the tapping and the tubing must have a minimum slope of 5% to drain any condensates.

For liquids, if the transmitter must be mounted below the tapping, the tubing must have a minimum slope of 5% to purge any gases.

In the presence of very hot fluid (e.g. steam), the sensor must be protected (add heat sink etc.).

If the sensor is above, a siphon must be installed or a low point must be created to allow condensation > cooling of the fluid in contact with the measuring cell.
