In the industrial field, diaphragm pressure transmitters must use an isolation package structure to separate the pressure chip from the medium to be measured to protect the chip from being corroded by external media. The stainless steel corrugated diaphragm has a nearly linear elastic characteristic curve and good corrosion resistance under constant pressure, so it is widely used in the diaphragm seal structure of diaphragm pressure transmitters.

Common corrugation shapes in diaphragm pressure transmitters are flat, circular, rectangular and sinusoidal. When the uniform pressure is less than 0.13MPa, the axial displacement of the flat diaphragm is larger than that of the corrugated diaphragm, but as the uniform pressure increases, the axial displacement of the corrugated diaphragm is larger than that of the flat diaphragm. In addition, the linearity of the elastic characteristic curve of the flat diaphragm is poor, so the flat diaphragm is generally not suitable for working environments with higher pressure.

Among the other 3 different types of corrugated diaphragms for diaphragm pressure transmitters, the linearity of the elastic characteristic curve of the sinusoidal corrugated diaphragm is higher than that of the arc-shaped and rectangular corrugated diaphragms. The sensitivity is also higher than the diaphragms of the other two types of surface structures. Therefore, the corrugated diaphragm of the common silicone oil pressure transmitter usually chooses the corrugated diaphragm with sinusoidal corrugation.
