Taking the sinusoidal corrugated diaphragm as an example, the effects of parameters such as diaphragm thickness, corrugation height, and corrugation number on the performance of the pressure transmitter are as follows:

(1) The thickness of the diaphragm has a great influence on the elastic performance and stiffness of the diaphragm. The thicker the diaphragm, the smaller the elasticity, the greater the stiffness, and the lower the sensitivity. This is why the pressure transmitter diaphragm is generally very thin and fragile. The reason is that if the diaphragm is directly bumped, it is likely to cause damage to the diaphragm of the diaphragm pressure transmitter.

(2) As the height of the corrugation increases, the stiffness of the diaphragm increases, which causes a decrease in sensitivity; but as the height of the corrugation increases, the elastic characteristics of the diaphragm tend to be more linear. That is to say, for the high corrugated diaphragm, the stiffness of the low pressure end is large, the sensitivity is low, the linearity of the overall pressure measurement range of the diaphragm pressure transmitter is better, and it is more suitable for occasions where the actual pressure fluctuation range is large. As for the shallow corrugated diaphragm, although the initial stiffness is small and the sensitivity is high, the overall linearity is poor. Therefore, the shallow corrugated diaphragm is more commonly used in the occasions where the pressure fluctuation range of the diaphragm pressure transmitter is small or the pressure measurement is small.

(3) The number of corrugated diaphragms has a certain influence on the elastic properties. The more the number of corrugations, the better the linearity of the elastic characteristic curve, but the effect of the number on the performance of the diaphragm pressure transmitter will attenuate as the number increases. Generally, 5 corrugations can be used.
