Replacement steps of pressure transmitter
Mar 19, 2025
1. Disconnect the power supply and pressure valve: Firstly, cut off the power supply of the transmitter and close the pressure valve of the pressure transmitter.
2. Empty the pipeline: If there is an empty needle valve in the pressure pickup pipeline, it should be opened slowly to empty the medium in the pipeline (e.g. natural gas).
3. Disassemble the transmitter: open the back cover or the top side of the pressure transmitter UIB6 , remove the power wiring of the transmitter with an explosion-proof screwdriver, mark the positive and negative poles and wrap the terminals with insulating tape. Then, use the explosion-proof wrench to hold the pressure transmitter connection and the corresponding connection on the pressure-taking pipe, slowly rotate it to loosen and remove the transmitter.
4. Cleaning and Preparation: Remove any dirt from the connection and apply a little grease to the connection gasket. Wrap some rawhide tape around the connection to increase sealing.
5. Install the new transmitter: Hold the new pressure transmitter UPB2 by hand, align the transmitter connection with the pickup tube fitting screw, and slowly rotate it until it is initially securely in place without wobbling or swinging. Then use the explosion-proof wrench to tighten the pressure transmitter.
6. Wiring and testing: Connect the power cord to the positive and negative terminals of the new transmitter and tighten the back cover. Re-open the pressure valve and check whether there is any air leakage at the joints with the leakage checking tool. If there is any leakage, it is necessary to find out the reason and rectify it in time until there is no leakage. Finally, turn on the power for test run to ensure that the new pressure transmitter works properly.
