Maintenance of Submersible Level Transmitters
Sep 04, 2025
1.Freeze protection measures
During winter months, when the submersible level transmitter is installed outdoor, it must be protected against freezing to prevent liquid expansion within the pressure inlet from damaging the sensor.
2.Wiring protection
When wiring, route cables through waterproof connectors (accessories) or hoses, and tighten sealing nuts to prevent rainwater ingress into the transmitter housing via the cable.
3. Installation position
For dual-flange level transmitters, ensure the sensor's pressure-conducting tube is installed in an area with minimal temperature fluctuations.
4. Avoid liquid impact
When measuring liquid pressure, position the flange level transmitter to avoid liquid impact (water hammer effect) to prevent sensor damage from overpressure.
5. Avoid sedimentation
When measuring liquid pressure with a dual-flange level transmitter, open the pressure port on the side of the process pipe to prevent sedimentation and residue accumulation.
6.Avoid corrosion and high temperature
It is essential to prevent the flange liquid transmitter from contacting corrosive or excessively hot media, and to prevent scum deposits within the pipeline.
