What is Single Port Overloaded for a DP Transmitter?
Mar 10, 2025
When we talk about the system static pressure, the default premise is that the transmitter is installed in the pipeline. The system static pressure is the pressure on both side (high pressure port and low pressure port) of the transmitter at the same time. Differential pressure transmitter measures the difference between the high pressure port and low pressure port (high pressure - low pressure= pressure difference).
If uninstall the transmitter from the pipeline and using cleaning stream to clean the hole in the pressure port, the maximum pressure on single port is 150%~200%FS of the measuring range. Otherwise, the single port will be overloaded.
Any interest about our differential pressure transmitters like UPC5 differential pressure transducer, UIB6-d MODBUS digital pressure transmitter etc., please contact Stella Meng.
