How to Connect a 2-wire Pressure Sensor with PLC in Pipeline?
Dec 17, 2024
As you know, for pressure transmitter with hirschmann connector, there are three terminals on it.
--No. 1 terminal is the power supply terminal, we need to connect the 9~32V DC positive wire to it.
--No. 2 terminal is the analog output, we need to connect it to the analog input of the PLC.
--No. 3 therminal is the earth connector, we need to connect the shield of the wire to it.
For pressure sensor with 4~20mA output, the wire of the pressure sensor has two cores: power (red), and signal (yellow). The power wire (red) is connected to the No. 1 terminal of the pressure sensor, and the signal wire (yellow) is connected to the No. 2 terminal of the pressure sensor.
When connecting the pressure sensor with PLC, you can find below steps for your reference:
First, we can connect the power wire (red) from the pressure sensor to the 9~32V positive terminal of the power supply.
Second, we can use a wire connect the 0V DC from the power supply to the therminal 4 of the PLC connector.
Third, we can connect the signal wire (yellow) from pressure sensor at terminal 3 of the PLC connector.
